Challenge: Halloween happens on one night, October 31st. Yet retail displays go up in-stores mid-September. The challenge was to inspire shoppers to pick up candy earlier and more often during the Halloween sales period.
Idea: We gave shoppers an alternative to trick-or-treating on Halloween night with an activity called Booing. It had families creating custom bundles of Halloween treats and gifting them to their neighbors.
Results: Mars Chocolate's largest Halloweensales in Walmart history. Over 317 million total impressions and exceeded engagement benchmarkson Walmart.com and YouTube.
